Intro to Train Your Workforce

IEC-OKC offers a variety of courses including Code Update Course, First Aid, CPR, OSHA 10 Hour, Journeyman Prep Course and Electrical Foreman training.  Several other classes are under development and may be available soon including, Motor Control, Low-Voltage and a High Voltage Termination Course .  Contact the IEC-OKC staff for more information about these courses or if you have an idea for a course you would like to see brought to IEC.


Attendees will learn about the four primary subjects essential to understanding, and protecting against, the arc flash hazard in an industrial workplace .

Foreman Skill Training

Building an Effective Leader

This comprehensive two-day training will emphasize job/task analysis and positive reinforcement techniques to preserve employee morale. The instruction is designed to accentuate job-site safety per OSHA standards. Participants will become familiar with leadership-based training skills and will learn to supervise, develop and maintain a Total Safety Culture within their organization.

Code Update Course

This course is a 6 hour course that meets the requirements set forth by the CIB for CEU’s.  The course covers the major changes to the code and is taught by David Jackson from Moore-Norman Vo-Tech.

Journeyman Prep Course

This course focus will be on Advanced Calculations, Problem Solving and intensive NEC Article Reviews/Drills.

IEC-OKC Guarantee: Should you fail any part of the OK State Electrical Licensing Examination, you may attend any future regularly scheduled IEC-OKC J’Prep course within the following 12-month period without charge. The 10-hour program is intended to provide a variety of training on Construction Industry safety and health to level workers. Of the topics listed below, three hours are mandatory and three hours must be chosen the optional topic list provided. For the remainder of the class, you may teach any other construction industry standards or policies and/or expand on the required topics. The 10-hour classes are designed to be presented t workers; therefore they must emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not OSHA standards.  For more information about course dates please contact IEC.
